This drainage area includes most of Kansas City's downtown, is bounded on the north by the Missouri River, and by the Kansas River on the west.  The drainage basin goes as far south as Union Station, and, of course, includes Southwest Boulevard. The wetland can now move flood waters around and maintain habitats using refurbished berms and pumps.
