About the host of "Building Kansas City"

Dr. Deb O'Bannon
Deb O’Bannon taught civil engineering at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) from 1989-2018. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from MIT, a Master of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from Manhattan College in New York and a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa. She is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a Fellow of the Society of Women Engineers. She is currently the Engineering Program Director at an university in Kansas City.
