10,000 Rain Gardens- January 25, 2009

Brush Creek Corridor Development- January 18, 2009

Deb O’Bannon discusses Brush Creek Corridor development with Carol Grimaldi, executive director for Brush Creek Community Partners (BCCP). Grimaldi cites Brush Creek as one of the country's greatest examples of a civil engineering project that has leveraged social, economic and neighborhood redevelopment. Nearby institutions created BCCP 15 years ago to work towards realizing a vision of a "world class cultural, research and parks district connected through thriving businesses surrounded by healthy neighborhoods." BCCP serves the area from State Line to Kensington, working with businesses, institutions, neighborhoods, community and faith-based organizations and government agencies to influence and enhance the Brush Creek Corridor's economic and social development. BCCP is the advocate for the area and works to convene the community in realizing these changes. Listen to the podcast.
