Kansas City's Concrete Landmarks
Christy Martin, Executive Director of the Concrete Promotional Group, and Todd LaTorella, P.E., Executive Director of the Missouri/Kansas American Concrete Pavement Association, joined the show to share some interesting trivia and factoids about the use of concrete in the Kansas City area (and around the world). Did you know that airport runaways are 24" thick? Or that the Liberty Memorial is concrete with a limestone facade?
If you're interested in green applications of concrete, listen to Dr. John Kevern's broadcast on porous concrete.
Listen to the podcast.
